Harmony In Life Turns 3
And my feet still hurtby j. brotherlove
Last night, Atlanta was home to a battle of the nu soul/r&b/funk/hip hop live music concerts. On one hand there was the resurrection of the legendary FunkJazz Kafé; on the other, Harmony In Life’s 3rd Anniversary.
As a freelancer who keeps finances tight it was easy to choose between an event with unnamed performers (FunkJazz Kafé’s business model) and one with a solid lineup of some of my favorites at half the cost (Harmony In Life). Thanks to all who came out to wish Harmony In Life and founder Ron Harmony a fantastic three years of live music:
Erica Carson, D.R.E.S. Tha Beatnik, Rahsaan Patterson, Brandon Thomas, Trina Broussard, Joi, Dain Harris, Eric Roberson, Purple St. James (née Yahzarah), JoJo, Carmen Rodgers, Peter Hadar, N’Dambi, Fhena, PJ Morton, Carol Riddick, Rahbi, Shamora, Mark Nelson, Phillippia, Trei, India.Arie, Salakida and thebrotherlove.com reader who came up to me to say hello.
