I’m really only feeling two “reality” shows right now. America’s Next Top Model is my favorite. I love the dramatic frivolity of the fashion industry. And watching girls in their late teens/early 20’s compete for the job of their dream is bound to be hilarious.

This week’s episode was satisfying but not over the top. The “bulimic girl” was revealed. But the highlight was seeing the girls cry as they were transformed from everyday pretty girl to the look of potential model. Beauty knows no pain.

OK…yes there are worse obsessions. I love this show. I’m not afraid to admit it. I love the way Tyra and Co. makes modeling seem like negotiating a world peace treaty. It’s very serious business, apparently. I’m so upset, because I don’t get out of class until the show is halfway over. Thank God they re-run it on Fridays.

I think Ya-Ya is gorgeous, I love me some Toccara, and Janice tripped me out with that last comment about “large women in couture.” Let’s not get me started on Janice.

I’m glad they made changes to the girls’ hair because I was having trouble differentiating who was who. It’s hard not to love some Ya Ya. I’m trying not to get too attached to her because there just isn’t any way she can win a CoverGirl contract with her skin issues. Eva is good comic relief and has the diva attitude; too bad she’s the shortest of the bunch. Tocarra is hilarious too and has the most bodacious ta-tas on television - woo baby! Now that’s a woman.

i’m having the same attachment issues with tocarra. i’m not wowed by her but she looked sexy as hell in that swimsuit.
