So… after a sober week of self-evaluation and re-designing, Ex Lover Loverboy calls to see what I’m doing for lunch.

“Mostly, working on this project for my manager. I’m not really hungry.” “Well, can I at least see you for a minute. I don’t want to wait until, tomorrow.” “Sure, baby.”

When I got into his car, immediately, I spotted a bouquet of two dozen, large and healthy red roses and a miniature white teddy bear holding an “I Love You” heart.

“Oh. What’s this for?” “Just because.” “Wow. Thank you, baby. That was so sweet.” “I figure you needed it. You’ve had a lot on your mind, this week.” “Well, it certainly brightens up my day.” “That’s good. I love you.” “And I love you, too, baby.”
