My current three favorites

Feast or Famine is pretty much how this blogging thing goes, right? In a strange twist of fate, I have a bunch of things to blog about at the same time. I won’t get to all of them, of course. But lemme knock out my current B-List, real quick:

• Brian. Mmmmm… He’s a 27 year-old fitness trainer with a Southern accent. Sometimes that’s all I need. Catch him on Jackie Warner’s Workout on Bravo. I hadn’t planned on watching Workout. But the show has with a fiery lesbian relationship, Jody Watley and half-naked fitness trainers. What was I thinking?

• Blogher ‘06 Feedback. A big congrats goes out to everyone involved in making Blogher a success. Now that the conference is over, there is plenty of feedback outlining the good, the bad and the ugly. I’m hoping organizers and the female blogging community can improve the good stuff and work out the kinks for next year.
• Black Weblog Awards. The second annual Black Weblog Awards are officially in effect. At the last minute, they have restored Best Blog Design (yeah!) so I’m excited. We need more black (and female) influence in blog design. At the very least, some lesser-known websites will get new sets of eyes. Do you need me to compile a list of categories should you consider thebrotherlove.com for a nomination (ala Terrence)?

I wonder why best design was left out in the beginning… HMMMMMM….

Gosh! I forgot to add the Workout to the season pass of Tivo.

Hopefully I will make it to the next Blogher. I can then make my own critique about it all. But for now, relying on others is all I can go on.

I’m thinking of making the trip to Chicago for Blogher next year (even though it falls on my birthday) but I want to get the most out of it and contribute the most and best I can to it and the community so I’ve got some thinkin and some work to do.

Also, Workout? Love it. Just knew I was going to hate it and roll my eyes at it the whole time but really I just want Jackie to be my trainer and her girlfriend to grow up a tiny bit.

I agree about Jackie’s girlfriend, Michelle. Miss Mimi is spoiled to no end. From what we’ve seen, it seems odd that Jackie would deal with that type of attitude in a relationship. But that’s what makes relationships so complex; they often break the rules we set for others.
