Catching The Virus
The Indie Virus is spreadingby j. brotherlove
During the Blogging While Black Revisted panel (watch here), Kevin Lawver (correction: it was Bryan Bush) asked the panel what could he, as a white, male, do to help break down racial barriers online. Lynne d Johnson’s answer: “Link to us.”
It’s in that spirit that I will occasionally do the same by spreading The Indie Virus:
The Indie Virus is an attempt by a few non-A-list bloggers (and their numbers are continuously growing) to draw attention to blogs other than the linked to death A-list.
You can consult The Indie Virus Tutorial for details. I hope Laina doesn’t mind if I use her as my first guinea pig. Check her out: The Indie Virus.
Tagged (I know this looks tacky. I’m still working on a “tagging” solution)
Technorati: The Indie Virus.
Ma.gnolia: The Indie Virus.
Actually, that was Bryan Bush who asked that one. I asked if knowing the racial and gender breakdowns of their readership changed how or what they wrote on their blogs.
Ahhh… Thanks, Kevin. I remember now. Great question, by the way. I’ll explore it more fully at a later date.
hmmmm….
when i grow up, i want to be an a-list blogger. :)
just passing through to spread some love.
