Do you ever find yourself competing for something only to wonder, after you win, why you campaigned so heavily in the first place? Never mind the punctuation, it’s a rhetorical question. Mostly.

Enough about me…

Melvin cautions gay men and women who only perform one sexual position that love can throw you for a loop and reveal if you are truly Top, Bottom or Versatile. Furthermore, it can leave you in the dust if you’re not willing to be a little flexible. His thoughts are related to the ideas in Relationship Limits, a letter originally posted on abovethelife.com via by Playboy Adonis.

The thug persona can be cute (for a little while). But I don’t trust any man (gay or straight) without some connection to his feminine side. Steven A. Claiborne explains how he made peace with his in The Queen In Me:

I tell this story, shape this diatribe in this way to explain the process of finding oneself and the things that we do along the way to affirm ourselves and exist as complete people….in honesty. When I see extremely effeminate guys today I don’t wince at them, turn in disgust, or shy away.

Ramon asks Open Relationships: Do They Work? and takes a poll on the subject to see what you think.

Rod posts about a new San Francisco campaign that asks Do You Disclose Your HIV Status? Perhaps a better question is Do you know your HIV status? Growing up in Chicago, I was always taught to assume my partner was HIV positive and act accordingly.

Charles, Heru and Kevin egg each other on about Sexual Desire, Sexual Desire Politics, and other things. Amongst all things, it yields this ending quote from Charles:

As queer men I believe that its all right and even expected that we eroticize big dicks, big muscles, and masculinity. At the same time I think it would be very beneficial if we widened our scope of whats desirable. Finally, I would encourage all of us to rethink what we are told whats desirable, and how we measure our own value with regard to those messages.

Okay, that’s more than five links. Sue me.

I believe it is always good to strive toward perfection. Yes, even though perfect is something that will never be attained. So, even though I might have put a huge deal into winning, I should always put that same amount of deal into everything I do.

And more than that, I should…we should always align our best actions with our strategy or purpose so that it becomes second nature. In other words, always do your best and expect the best in return.

By the way, Thanks for the link up.
