100 Comments In 100 Hours

Don’t take it personally but I am bored, people. As a result, I have come up with a little project to stir things up for a minute. Well, 600 minutes, to be exact. That’s right, I am submitting 100 comments to 100 weblogs in 100 hours.

I am starting this craziness now so it will conclude Monday morning/afternoon; in time for most of you to see the results (cause I may not be successful). You may think I’m cheating by using the weekend but I assure you, the weekend is when I’m online the least so it will be challenging.

The Goal

To find new (and hopefully, interesting) personal webspaces and acknowledge my discovery with a thoughtful (or wacky) comment, thus facilitating interaction and hopefully, a better weblog community overall. Or something like that.

The Guidelines

1. The total number of comments submitted in 100 hours must be at least 100.


2. Comments must be on topic (I’m not trying to contribute to webspam) and consist of at least 100 words. (ouch) Ouch is right. This, by far, has been the biggest obstacle. My most passionate comments top off naturally around 60 words. I’m dropping this constraint in favor of sincerity and the opportunity to visit more blogs in the allotted time.


3. Comments submitted to sites on a blogroll or regularly read bloglist do not count toward the 100.
   
4. Neither do multiple comments on one weblog.


5. Linking/Trackbacking ties it all together.

I imagine Technorati, Blogshares, Daypop and other people’s blogrolls will become my friends. I’ll keep track of my comments here. Wish me luck. And send me some suggestions via email.
